Cutting Edge in Technology video features Matrix’s Rapid Site Condition Model

Matrix’s Rapid Site Condition Model (RSCM) is a geospatial data management and visualization platform developed to efficiently create remediation action plans for contaminated oil and gas sites.

The technology, which is further enhanced by machine learning and artificial neural network tools, was recently featured at RemTech 2021 as part of the Cutting Edge Technology in Asset Retirement video presentation by InnoTech Alberta.

WHAT IS THE RAPID SITE CONDITION MODEL?

RSCM is a geospatial contaminated site environmental investigation data management and visualization platform used to assist in developing remediation action plans for oil and gas licensees’ problem sites.

This innovative platform is designed to provide real-time visualization of all information related to the impact plume extents juxtaposed against natural environmental and human-made features to facilitate an informed decision-making outcome.

RSCM is further enhanced by addition of machine learning and artificial neural network tools which can easily access the large dataset stored in the system to gain insights on important trends and patterns pertaining to site management and mitigation.

The RSCM has been used to develop remediation action plans for orphan wells and facilities that are more timely, economical, and have a lower environmental footprint.
