Matrix Solutions is proud to introduce our inaugural environmental, social, and governance (ESG) Strategy for 2023: A Growing Matrix in a Sustainable World.

The development of this strategy is the result of Matrix’s decision to look carefully at company operations to identify areas for improved sustainability performance. The strategy was created through a collaborative process in 2022, involving a materiality survey and input from Matrix’s employees, clients, board of directors, and financial institution. This data was used to identify the following four ESG initiative areas, along with ambitions and actions for each.
- Health and safety
- Greenhouse gas emissions
- Community relations and local investment
- Diversity, equity, and inclusion
“At Matrix, we are united by the belief that by applying our collective expertise through our work, we can create a positive impact for the planet and future generations,” said Matrix CEO Holly Elrick. “These ESG areas are closely aligned with our values and focusing on each will help us in achieving our overarching sustainability goals related to our clients, our people, and our communities.”
For each of the initiative areas, Matrix has identified an experienced team member to lead and progress the work to achieve the outlined ambitions. Matrix will publish its first external ESG progress report in 2024, describing steps taken and outcomes achieved in year one of the strategy.
