HSE Auditing – Pipeline Company
One of Matrix Solutions' component companies (E2 Environmental Alliance Inc.) was retained by TransCanada's corporate Business Audit Services Department to complete Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Audits of:
- natural gas pipeline transmission operating regions;
- natural gas compression and gathering systems;
- rail transportation assets;
- gas processing plants;
- specialized maintenance services; and
- pipeline construction.
Matrix relied on its strong petroleum and chemical industries skills and knowledge in assessing health, safety and environmental compliance with government regulations and with TransCanada's internal company standards.
Matrix personnel complemented TransCanada's internal HSE auditing capabilities as part of a multidisciplinary audit team, and acted in the Lead Auditor capacity. The audits focused on TransCanada's HSE Management Systems, using protocols that are modelled on the ISO 14001 management systems, standards, structures and components. Matrix also provided ongoing assistance to TransCanada's corporate Environmental Audit Services Department over an extended period, supplementing in-house staff during a period of heavy work load.
